My Review:
After Becca discovers her fiancé sleeping with her boss, she walks away from both. With her new job secured, she takes her best friend’s advice and checks into Quick Silver Ranch for some R & R. She has no idea she’s about to experience sexual escapades on this ranch with her sexy ex-boyfriend from college, Tyler. As he reawakens her sexual drive and lust for life, Becca must make a choice. Will it be her future or her past?
Broken Rules is an erotic romance all about exploring your deepest desires and being true to yourself. The heat level is definitely five flames with a fair bit of BDSM but it’s 100% consensual. On the plot’s strength, emotional tension, characterizations, it’s a perfect ten. Marie Tuhart may write erotic romance, but she balances the heat with emotional narration and an empowering woman’s story. Take away the sizzling scenes and you have a romance with all the emotions.
The characters are what make Broken Rules unputdownable. Becca’s been through a lot and needs a vacation from her life. She needs to release herself from guilt and the past in order to live her best life. I connected with her on so many levels. She and I had terrible mothers and were in some bad relationships before we met someone who understood us.
Tyler is a kind, generous, understanding man who innately knows what Becca needs. He loves with every fiber of his being. The perfect hero for Becca.
