Title: A Pride of Brothers: Dylan

Author: Peggy Jaeger

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Book Blurb:

Cyber-security specialist Dylan Keane is working undercover to suss out a corporate thief. When he zeroes in on Harper Vale, he thinks he’s found his mole. Harper has a reputation as a coding savant and an introvert. Dylan’s interest is flattering, but after she’s implicated in the theft of the company’s protected software, she doubts everything he’s told her. When a series of potentially deadly accidents occur involving Harper, Dylan wonders if she is being set up to take the fall. One thing is certain: the more time they spend together, the more Dylan realizes he’s the one who’s falling—for Harper.

My Review:

Dylan is hired to find the mole but when he fingers Harper, her life is put in peril. Can Dylan catch the right person responsible while protecting Harper or will he fail? A Pride of Brothers: Dylan is book three in this series and in my opinion, it’s the best one. The characters are engaging and leap off the page. The premise is intriguing. The suspense behind all the ‘accidents’ and who the real thief is had me whipping through the pages. A truly unforgettable romantic suspense.

Let’s start with the characters. Harper is a smart woman who knows how to read people. She’s brilliant as a coder but when it comes to friends and lovers…not by a longshot. She’s got some emotional issues, one of them being to trust someone completely. Dylan works undercover and knows cyber security better than anyone. He’s hired to catch a thief red-handed but he misreads Harper. He tries his best to make up for it and winds up falling for her instead. He’s a sexy man who knows it but he’s not stuck-up. He’s cool under pressure but feels things for Harper he’s never felt before. I enjoyed their journey to love immensely.

The plot progression is the perfect tempo, with equal parts romance and suspense. Peggy Jaeger builds the tension slowly so the reader can transport themselves into the story. The writing is flawless and expertly done. I whipped through the pages while losing sleep over A Pride of Brothers: Dylan.

What makes this book so engrossing to read is the emotional narration. Peggy Jaeger puts her heart and soul into this story. The emotions are high, vivid, and caused me to become emotional, too. I connected with this book on so many levels and it’s why I feel so attached to the book and the characters. I can’t wait to read it again.

My Rating: 5+ stars

#Family and #food play huge roles in my stories because I believe there is nothing that holds a family structure together like sharing a meal…or two…or ten. Dotted with humor and characters that are as real as they are loving, I bring all topics of daily life into my stories: life, death, sibling rivalry, illness and the desire for everyone to find their own happily ever after. Growing up the only child of divorced parents I longed for sisters, brothers and a family that vowed to stick together no matter what came their way. Through my books, I've created the families I wanted as that lonely child.
