Two stranded strangers...No commitment. No rules.

After discovering her boyfriend is into kink—and not with her—Emily Jameson wants to know what all the hype is about. When a blizzard strands her in the Denver airport, she meets a man perfect for satisfying her curiosity—and more than a few desires—in a lovers-only relationship. But after their first toe-curling kiss, she wonders if the no-strings bargain they've made is a mistake.

Mark Blacke always goes after what he wants, and the moment he sees Emily, he wants her. Fulfilling her fantasies will be a pleasure. Why wouldn't it be when she wants hot as sin sex and no fetish is off-limits? Falling for her isn't part of the plan, but if he tells her how he feels, he fears he'll lose the woman of his dreams...

Excerpt:

Mark spotted Emily standing in front of her office building. When he pulled up, she slid into the front seat and leaned in to give him a kiss. He didn’t miss the man standing at the window staring out at them when they pulled away from the curb. He squashed the irrational wave of jealousy churning in his gut. Emily sat here next to him, and if her kiss meant anything, she was glad to see him.

“I can’t believe you’re here. You’re this big gorgeous Christmas present. I hope you can stay the night.” She squeezed his hand.

“You won’t be able to get rid of me for a few days. I plan on making you so tired you might not be able to walk.”

She laughed. “There isn’t much to eat in the apartment.”

“I brought dinner. Are you hungry now?”

“I take it from the tone of your voice you’re not.”

“Not for food.” He pressed her hand against his crotch. “This is what thinking about you does to me. I’ve already suffered the last two hours getting here. Are you going to keep me in agony?”

“I hope you brought plenty of condoms.”

“The box from the airport. I figured we have two nights and a morning. What’s left over I can leave here.” He turned into her parking lot and pulled into the spot next to her Mini. “I’ll let my car get to know yours.”

“They should get along, since mine is made by BMW.”

Mark laughed. “You keep telling yourself that, sweetheart.”

“It is.” She huffed good-naturedly.

“Come on. I don’t want to waste time arguing about the differences between your Mini and my coupe.”

“Snob.”

“Damn straight.” He yanked her against him, holding her ass firmly in his grasp. “Now do you want to continue this discussion here or upstairs where I can strip you while you try and convince me your car is better than mine?”

“Upstairs. I have a surprise for you.”

“I don’t usually like surprises, but if it has to do with your naked body, bring it on.” Emily squirmed out of his grasp and grabbed his bag, while Mark carried the cooler of food.

“So many containers.” She put the food in the refrigerator. “Does your mom know you’re here?”

“Yes. She packed the food.”

“How did you explain me?”

“A shy friend. But by the way I look every time I think of you, I’m sure she guesses we’re lovers.”

“That doesn’t bother you?”

“Why should it? I love being with you, and we are lovers.”

“So what label do you give me when she asks about me?”

“I say your name. My mom is cool about relationships. She believes in sparks and fate and all that meant-to-be stuff. And she rarely pries.”

“She sounds understanding.”

“She is. Now we’ve been in the apartment five minutes, and you’re still dressed.” He grabbed the bottom of her sweater and lifted it over her head.

“Before you go any further, I have a present for you.”

He wrapped her in his arms and said, “The presents can wait until later.”

“You brought me a present?” She pushed away from him and looked into his eyes.

“I did, but it can wait until I’m done ravaging you.”

“Mine can’t.” She danced out of his arms. “Come on.” She pulled him by the hand.

They entered the alcove, and she gave him a gentle shove. He plopped down on the bed. She took the red, shiny, paper-wrapped box off the dresser and handed it to him. “Open it.”

He teased her with a methodical removal of the paper so he didn’t rip a piece of it.

“Mark,” she whined in frustration.

“My grandmother said never waste paper.”

She clamped her mouth shut and rolled her eyes.

“I’m still not able to spank you, so I’ll ignore your impatience and eye-rolling.” He lifted the lid of the box. “Ties. Thank you. You know I love to wear ties, and four different blue ones will mean I can wear a different one each week.”

“They’re extra long.” She crossed her arms over her chest.

He didn’t miss the lines form on her forehead.

“Thanks. That’s the one thing my brothers and Becca didn’t think of when they each bought me a tie.”

“You got four ties for Christmas?” She sniggered.

“Red ones.”

“I bet they didn’t buy them for you for the same reason I bought them.” She blew him an air kiss.

For the last few years, our family has participated in Wreaths Across America. We head to the veteran’s cemetery where members of our family are buried and help place wreaths on all the graves. It’s a sight to behold. If you’ve never seen this happen, take a look at pictures of Arlington National Cemetery once the wreaths have been placed. It’s an emotional occasion that always brings tears to my eyes.
