Title: Latkes Of Love: A Dickens Holiday Romance (Book 29)
Author: Morgan Malone
Genre: Holiday Romance, Later in Life Romance
Book Blurb:
This will never work. He is a long-time widower, immersed in the family business, devoted to his son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. A long-time pillar of the community. And he thinks she is a busybody, a yenta—always with an opinion, always a little brash, a little too bold.
This will never work. She is a divorcee, the survivor of betrayal at the deepest level by a controlling husband. But she prevailed in the messy divorce and now lives comfortably in a rambling Victorian, shared with her widowed best friend. She keeps busy, at the synagogue, playing mah-jongg and minding everyone’s business. She thinks he is a bit too straitlaced, old-fashioned, and unyielding.
This will never work. Neither is looking for a happily ever after. But as the candles of Hanukkah cast their miraculous glow, love grows. Is it just the holiday or is it time for Morty and Margot to fall in love for the last time in their lives?
My Review:
They say opposites attract but Monty and Margot aren’t sure that’s the case. Morty is a long-suffering widower who is happy spending time with his family. Margot is a brash, opinionated yenta who loves her freedom as a divorcee. It will never work. But as Hanukkah approaches, love casts a warm glow in their hearts. Can they fall in love or is it just temporary?
Latkes of Love is a heartwarming, humorous holiday romance. Love happens to even the most unlikely couples. You must have faith. Morgan Malone has written another emotional later-in-life romance set at Hanukkah. I love these holiday romances by Morgan Malone. Not only are the characters older (later in life) but they fly off the page. Their personalities shine and I connected with them.
I have quite a few Jewish friends, although they live far away. Reading Latkes of Love helps me feel closer to my friends. The Jewish customs and traditions are poignantly detailed.
If you love holiday romances featuring later-in-life characters and the celebrating of Hanukkah, read Latkes of Love.

Author Biography:
Morgan Malone is the pen name of Deborah Sabin, a retired lawyer who turned in her judicial robes to write romantic memoir and sexy contemporary and historical romance, which always features silver foxes and the independent women who tame them.
Morgan fell in love with romantic heroes after reading her mother’s historical romances, especially the ones written by Frank Yerby, with handsome, sexy, intelligent, adventure-seeking men with aching hearts. Her late husband, Mitchell, surpassed any fictional hero she had ever fallen for. After Morgan turned 50, she explored online dating. Most of the men she met failed to even come close but one or two surpassed even her dream hero's dark and dangerous allure. None compared to Mitch.
Morgan lives near Saratoga Springs, NY with Princess, her adopted black Lab mx. Her children and grandsons are frequent visitors. She can be found on occasion drinking margaritas at local hostelries, painting watercolors, and playing mah jongg, but look for her most often in independent book stores and the library, searching for her next great love in tales of romance, history, adventure and lust. When Morgan can’t find the perfect man, she retreats to her upstairs office and creates him, body and soul, for her pleasure and for yours. Remember: love, like wine, gets better with age.
