She looked up and got lost in hazel eyes.


“Hey,” he muttered. “Sorry about that. You must be Whiskey.”


Say What? Mr. Oh So Smells Good knows her name.


“Uh yeah. That’s me.”


She gulped the sudden knot in her throat. “Um, but I think you’re lost. Restrooms are on the other side. Down the hall. In the back. Down the hall.” Wait. She already said that. Didn’t she?


She was light-headed and weightless and supercharged all at once. It made no sense other than her body short-circuited and then bolted with a supernova charge. Multiple tingles and aches flooded Willow’s body, shivering from their impact.


His lips fought a smile as she stared, still in a trance, at his light, moss-like eyes.


“Not lost darlin’. Think you told Levi you wanted to see what I got. Not thinking you taking me to the restroom is what you had in mind. Unless, it’s a dark hallway, in the back,” he said in a deep, timber voice.


Oh my, whispered Halo.


Oh yeah, whispered Tails.


Still dazed and lost in his soft green eyes, Willow leaned forward, unaware she was doing it. A soft brush of his hand tucked a careless strand of hair behind her earlobe.


“You still with me Whiskey?” the warm breathing wall with beautiful green eyes softly asked.

Author Biography:


Gracie Cooper was born in South Florida to a large, loud, rowdy Cuban family where Sunday dinners were as sacred as the dominoes played every evening. She currently resides outside of Saint Augustine with her husband, two sons and a miniature schnauzer and continues Sunday dinners and rounds of dominoes with the family.
