Print books are my preference, and before I started producing my own, I had listened to only a few audio books, which made auditioning narrators a challenge. Fortunately, I got lucky and found two who are perfect for my books. Listening to the narrators reading my own titles was an eye-opening—or should I say ear-opening?—experience. Writers can get tired of their own stories after multiple rounds of edits and galley proofs, but a good narrator can really energize the story, even for a jaded author.
What makes this a must-listen audiobook?
Eric Priessman did a wonderful job of bringing the characters in Morgan’s Landing to life. It’s my favorite of my audio titles. Author Biography:
I knew I wanted to be a “book maker” as soon as I learned to read and wrote my first story at the age of six. My passion for the printed word also led me to a career with the San Diego Public Library. I retired to spend more time on my writing and have had stories published in numerous literary journals. I have had ten books published by The Wild Rose Press and seven of them produced as audio books so far. In addition to the three R’s—reading, writing, and research—I enjoy travel, movies, Scrabble, and visiting museums and art galleries.
Narrator Biography:
Eric Priessman retired after three decades in the highly regulated fields of law enforcement and the US military and is now able to live a life where he can be whomever and whatever the written page offers him. When not recording from his home studio in Los Angeles, he can usually be found dressing up as Darth Vader or a Stormtrooper to perform at charitable events with the 501st Legion or watching Star Trek reruns. the 501st Legion or watching Star Trek reruns until the Sun comes up.
