He could be the one, really, the one. He seems like a great guy. He has a rock-hard amazing body, a gorgeous face with a smile that melts my panties, and sexually – oh yeah! No need to elaborate. The only problem is I don’t remember meeting him or going home with him, which is something I never do, never. I didn’t even know his name when I woke up beside him. I’m pretty sure I was roofied by someone that night I was out with all my coworkers at some bar I’ve never been to before. I don’t think it was him, though. I mean, seriously, he doesn’t need to drug a woman to get her into his bed.

I don’t do one-night stands, hookups, or pick-up women in bars anymore. I am looking for a relationship that will lead to marriage. I have a four-year-old little girl that I am completely responsible for. Her mother was out of the picture as soon as she was born, and I want a mother for her not a parade of bimbos in and out of her life. When I met Kenzie that night we hit it off instantly and I knew she was something special. I normally wouldn’t have brought her home, but it had been so long since I’d been with a woman, a self-imposed celibacy. And my daughter was with my mother for the night. Kenzie was incredibly open and personable, warm and fun, beautiful, sexy, and sensual. We had a great time at the bar and an even better time after we got back to my place. The only problem is, I don’t do drama and Kenzie appears to be drowning in it. If not, then she is in real trouble and needs my protection.

This series contains graphic sexual content and is intended for mature readers only. All books are stand-alone stories and while the story does continue from one book to the next, they do not need to be read in order.

Excerpt:

God! Why couldn’t I remember any part of who he was or how I had ended up here? And that incredible c*ck! How could I not remember what it had felt like to have that inside me?

He was watching me expectantly. I downed the drink, which tasted like some sort of thick, weird, coconut water, and then he took the can from me and sat it on his night stand. He surrounded me with his arms, snuggled close and pulled me into his frame. His breathing evened out, and I knew that he was asleep.

I tried desperately to remember him, to remember anything, but I couldn’t. The last thing I remembered was saying goodbye to my coworkers and going towards the bathroom at the bar as they all left. Wait, no, I also remembered suddenly feeling drunk as I left the bathroom, more-so than when I went in, more-so than I should have been. I was near the exit and could feel the fresh, warm, night air blowing into my face, with just a hint of the cigarette smoke from the smokers clustered around the entrance way closer than the legally required distance of fifteen feet.

That was it. Nothing more. A blank slate replaced whatever came after. Listening to his even breathing and feeling the warmth from his body behind me, I relaxed and drifted, hoping if I stopped thinking so hard, maybe it would come back. I certainly didn’t think I could go back to sleep.

Author Biography:

Hello, I am Charlie Roberts. I live on a 40-acre farm with my husband, horses, and three barn cats. In addition to writing romance I enjoy reading many different genres, quilting, sewing, jewelry making, and just about every other craft imaginable. I am also fitness-minded and work out at least four days a week. I believe as we age, exercise is a component needed to maintain good health. A healthy diet alone can’t do it! The release of endorphins breaks my writers block whenever the creativity has slowed to a trickle and of course gives me energy for whatever I’m doing. This series came to be while spending countless hours at the gym and enjoying the well-built men who were around me.
