Title: Say You're Mine: A Steamy, Opposites Attract, Contemporary Romance (Fortunato Family Series Book 2)

Author: Charlotte O’Shay

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Steamy Romance, Opposites Attract Romance

Book Blurb:

SAY YOU'RE MINE, Book 2 in the Fortunato Family series, is a steamy, opposites attract romance set in NYC.

Did ShySky aka Skylar Bishop just kiss a random guy in a bar?

Skylar: I don't know what came over me but when my boyfriend stood me up...again, and I saw this guy—the one with tormented eyes and a shiner on his sculpted cheekbone—mangle his words in a crowded bar, I couldn't help myself. Now he figures I’ll tumble into his bed—because I kissed him without knowing his name.

But one kiss is all I'll take because he’d never go the distance for a woman with my issues.

Women love Fighting Finnegan Fortunato's body and he’s not complaining.

Finn: Actions speak louder than words and I’ve learned to let my fists do my talking. Women want my tatted boxer’s body more than romantic words I can never give them and that's the way I've always liked it. But when a sleek uptown woman knocks me out with a fiery kiss, everything changes.

Now I have to find the words to make her mine.

When serendipity brings them together, will they fight for their forever?

My Review:

Two wounded souls find love when they least expect it. Say You're Mine is a beautiful steamy romance that made me tear up. There’s so much emotion and steamy goodness, I couldn’t stop reading. The characters are what drive this book and if that’s your reading jam, you’re going to love this book as much as I did.

Let’s start with the characters. Skylar is a heroine every woman can relate to on one level or another. Words can burn a woman’s self-esteem, especially when it comes from a man she trusts. She’s also shy even though she’s beautiful. I connected with her right away. She’s got some issues to deal with and it’ll take all her strength to embrace the love Finn offers. Finn is a man after my own heart. He’s a professional boxer who has a heart of gold, especially when it comes to women. He has a speech impediment which he’s tried so hard to overcome. His complexity broke my heart. It’ll take a love like Skylar’s to overcome his pain. Wow, these characters are so well written, I felt their anguish as if it’s my own.

The descriptive narration is so rich in detail, I transported into the story. It’s high on emotions but it gives the reader a chance to really feel what the characters feel. The setting is vibrant with details, too, so I could experience NYC in all its glory. Every scene is poignantly described, so much so it took an almost streaming feel.

The romance is instant attraction with a steamy vibe. The opposites attract trope is brilliantly done by this author. Charlotte O’Shay is a prolific author who writes immersive romance with all the feels. Whenever I read one of her books, I lose myself in her novels. Say You're Mine is her finest written and I can’t wait to read it all over again. Note: if steamy scenes aren’t your thing, you might want to pick another book. If you love your romance with plenty of steam like me, you’ll adore this book.
