Compassion has its price.

The former archangel Gabriel’s quiet, human life is shattered when his brother Michael delivers a dire warning. An ancient evil he spared has reawakened and is collecting archangels in order to bend mankind to her will. Raphael has already gone missing, but Michael knows her real target is Gabriel, who she’s sworn to take revenge on. He orders his brother to stay hidden, but when Michael is the next to disappear, Gabriel, as per usual, disobeys him. His lover Evie, friend Abby Campbell, the Keeper of a holy Book of Knowledge, and her boyfriend Ryan Moss do whatever it takes to rescue the missing angels.

Their attempt, however, fails when they discover the demon isn’t killing them, but posing the helpless angels in macabre displays. With Gabriel severely wounded from their thwarted mission, they have no choice but to call on bigger guns to help–his dysfunctional celestial siblings, the archangels. As the humans race to find a way to contain her growing army of followers, Gabriel and his youngest brother, Lucifer, have to put aside family differences and team up to end the demon or risk being pinned up in her twisted stained glass display. And even if they succeed, will it be enough to save Gabriel’s life?

My Review:

An ancient evil rises up and is on a mission for world domination. She starts by capturing archangels in order to enact revenge upon Gabriel. The demon won’t stop, and her army of devoted soldiers won’t either. Will Gabriel unite with Lucifer to bring down this demon or are the humans doomed?

The Angel in the Window is a riveting paranormal with humans, archangels, and one badass demented demon. Marla A. White continues her series with this unputdownable read. The descriptive narration is detailed and sucks the reader in from the first page. The world-building is flawless. The story moves at a quick pace. The action scenes are visually stunning. But it’s the characters that shine.

Marla A. White has written characters that are easy to connect with. Most everyone has heard about demons and angels, but to see life through their eyes is a triumph for Marla A. White. Even the deranged demon is interesting.

If you’re looking for a paranormal that’s fresh, colorful, and offers a unique take on good vs. evil, read The Angel in the Window.
