“This night is so beautiful, Tom.”
“Yes, it is, but it doesn’t compare to you.” He nuzzled my ear as he spoke, his breath raising the hairs on the back of my neck.
Come on. Does he really have to say things like that? He must know it sounds so cheesy.
“You must say that to all the girls,” I teased.
“All the time,” he said, taking a tiny nip of my lobe.
Shivers ran down my spine, making me tremble. Looking at me with his playful eyes, he took off his blazer and draped it over my shoulders. I smiled. Shamefully and against my better judgment, I’d fallen for his cheesiness.
“This is the second time you’ve given me one of your jackets,” I said.
“I guess I like the way you look in my things.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes.”
His strong fingers grabbed me by the lapels of his blazer, bringing me closer. I gazed up only to find myself bound by his olive eyes. My arms were trapped under his jacket, rendering me motionless. He’d snared me. “What would you do if I kissed you?” he asked in a whisper.
“Why don’t you find out?”

From The Wild Rose Press, I am Olivia Boothe, author of the seductive and emotional contemporary romance duet, Chronicles of a Dancing Heart: Wicked Dance (2017) & Wicked Embrace (2020).
If you enjoy steamy romance novels with deep, layered plots, I’m your gal. Because it’s not just about the first kiss and the happily ever after, it’s about everything in between. My stories will make you laugh, cry, and possibly blush. Actually, you’ll probably get so hot and bothered, you may need a shower or two. And a cigarette. Definitely a drink of some sort.

Fun Facts: When not locked away in my writing tower at the wee hours of the night, I manage working a 9-5 job and wrangling a pack of alphas (a husband, three boys, and a doggo named Hunter). On occasion, I summon my tribe for a night of wine and shenanigans. Dark chocolate is my kryptonite, I hate/love to ugly cry during movies, and I’m a die-hard Bon Jovi fan.
