My Review:

Samantha is a divorce attorney and she’s seen how infidelity can cause devastation in a marriage but she never dreamt it would happen to her. Blindsided by her husband’s confession and leaving her, she retreats to a small seaside town to lick her wounds and heal. Her best friends since high school, the Sworn Sisters, offer support and their undying love. But it’s not her girlfriends who occupy her thoughts but a local lawyer. He’s changed his name but she’d recognize him anywhere. They reconnect and there’s an attraction she can’t deny. But will he leave her like he did all those years ago or will she be the one to leave him for the lure of a partnership in the big city?

Sworn to Remember is a story about forgiving your past and finding balance in all facets of your life. The trials Samantha go through and how she works through them is told honestly with just the right amount of dramatic tension. Her growth is immense in this story yet all her pain drew me closer to her. Out of all the Sworn Sisters, Samantha is my favorite. Her spunk and passion remind me of a dear friend of mine. The romance between Samantha and Michael is slow burning but once they got together, they were electric. He pushes her to be a better person and to deal with her pain before it eats her alive.

An emotional read, Sworn to Remember will tug at your heartstrings. Highly recommend!

Author Biography:

Maria Imbalzano is a retired matrimonial lawyer who now writes full time. Instead of drafting motions, legal memoranda, and briefs, although fascinating, she now spends her days creating memorable characters and taking them on their emotional journeys through her contemporary romance novels.

In addition to writing fiction, Maria is on the Friends of Thomas Edison State University Foundation Committee and is still involved with Dress for Success Central Jersey, having been a founding Board member. She also serves on the finance committee for The Present Day Club. She has received the distinguished Family of Edison Award for her work with The Thomas Edison State University Foundation, the Iron Mike Professional Achievement Award from Trenton Catholic Academy and was inducted into the Italian American National Hall of Fame.

Her novel, “Unchained Memories,” won the Wisconsin Romance Writers Write Touch Readers’ Award and the ACRA Readers’ Choice Heart of Excellence Award. “Sworn to Forget,” the first of the four-book Sworn Sisters Series has garnered many five-star reviews and has been nominated for the illustrious RONE award.
