My Review:


Summary –

Five novelettes featuring five heroines not interested in romance take a tumble through time and discover destiny awaits them. Each novelette is a fleshed-out story filled with supernatural, romantic, mysterious elements and a quick read/listen. Each one can be read as a standalone but when read together, it’s a magical reading adventure. This is Casi McLean at her finest!


Narrator’s overall voice –

I’ve never heard Amanda Stribling’s voice before and I found her voice enticing to listen to. She has clear control over her voice and uses inflection to convey emotion, action, different characters, and more. I thoroughly enjoyed it.


Does the narrator fit the characters?

Yes, Amanda Stribling fits the characters and creates clear differences between the characters.


Narrator’s reading style –

I rather enjoyed Amanda Stribling’s reading style. I found myself transported into each story. Partnering with Casi McLean, Amanda Stribling brings the series to life.


Narrator’s impact on reading experience –

Amanda Stribling has an incredible talent for narration. I closed my eyes on more than one occasion and let her take me away. Listening to her narrate is like going to the theater without leaving your home, office, or vehicle. A moving experience.


Narrator’s pacing –

Amanda Stribling’s pacing is brilliant, with just the right amount of tension without going overboard.


Audiobook flow –

Each novelette flows incredibly well. It was a joy to listen to.


What makes this audiobook unique –

I think what makes this unique is that Amanda Stribling creates a different set of voices for each story. By the time I read/listened to the third story, it still felt original.


Would I recommend this audiobook –

Yes! It is such a magical read/listen. Plus, you can do one story at a time which works well for busy people.
