My Review:


Next time I will get 1st pick for the cookie book in the office lol. It appears Kris got the one I wanted to read, and I got this book. This is a solid suspenseful romance. The main thread here is suspense and action. The heroine is driven to right wrongs. The almost all-encompassing core of her being is battling to take down those who do wrong.


The action scenes and investigative scenes are strong and are the central focus of this book. An edge of your seat nail biter that will engross a reader. The interaction between Dragon and Victoria is well written. There is heat right away and they develop a powerful relationship.


If there is an issue here, it is that this story seems only to happen at Christmas. Christmas isn't a focus or major theme here. Corruption seems to be the decorations that adorn this writing. Not the biggest focus on cookies either but that is neither here nor there.


If you are a fan of the Christmas cookie series, you will want to read this book. It is well written and an original approach to this themed series. An excellent action suspense book with romance too.
