My Review:


Summary –

In this epic conclusion, will Austria have to choose between her family and her love for Josh? Just when things seem to be going in one direction, calamity bullrushes Austria and she’s scrambling for answers. Her family is in jeopardy and those closest to her are in grave danger. Can she prevent what’s to come by joining forces for the greater good?


Narrator’s overall voice –

Carolyn A. Lee’s voice has character all its own and it’s a pleasure to listen to her narrate this story.


Does the narrator fit the characters?

Yes, Carolyn A. Lee fits the characters, especially the teens. She’s a gifted narrator who uses inflection to match what’s going on in the story.


Narrator’s reading style –

Carolyn A. Lee has a reading style that is immersive, but with plenty of twists and turns to keep the listener engrossed in the story.


Narrator’s impact on reading experience –

Carolyn A. Lee has an inherent skill to draw a listener/reader in. She takes what is one of the most original stories I’ve ever read and makes it come alive.


Narrator’s pacing –

Her pacing is flawless and enriches the listening experience.


Audiobook flow –

She allows the audiobook to unfold naturally with plenty of dialogue, action, and romance.


What makes this audiobook unique –

Carolyn A. Lee and Stephanie Hansen partner up to bring readers/listeners one of the best YA books I’ve ever heard/read. The plot is fast-moving which adds to the exhilaration while listening. Her narration brings this epic conclusion alive, like a streaming series. Brilliant from start to finish.


Would I recommend this audiobook –

A thousand times yes!
