Title: The Tale of Two Cars and Two Brown Legs: The Tale of 2s
Author: Shani T Night
Genre: Children’s Fiction, Children’s Picture Books, Counting
An interesting tale of cars in traffic, and legs walking around. A short and clever story with simple words for early readers. A good way to introduce fun reading, full of rhymes, with an interesting perspective to keep kids entertained.
Honk, honk. Vroom, vroom. Two wheels, four wheels, lotsa wheels. Traffic is zooming by which fascinates Shani. Cars, trucks, and people speed by her. Where are they going? How slow are they moving? More and more questions pique Shani’s curiosity. A fun way to look at traffic and going places.
The Tale of Two Cars and Two Brown Legs is an interactive look at traffic from a child’s point of view. The story relates to something very basic for children to identify with using counting and rhyming techniques. Cars, stoplights, traffic, and waiting are all things kids are familiar with. The story has an almost rhythmic quality to it, which I quite enjoyed. The illustrations are very colorful and use block shapes. Parents will find this book engaging to kids and a great book to have on a road trip. Another gem from Shani T Night.
