My Review:

Caden Silverwind is a fallen angel, taking refuge in the Rockies. He’s on a sabbatical, healing from battling dark demons. The last thing he expected to find is a badly beaten woman on the side of the road. His heart goes out to Mystic and he helps heal her. But the more she shares with him, the more Caden realizes his divine assistance is needed. His attraction to her goes beyond the physical and when she divulges her family secret, he knows she’s his mate. But their relationship takes a backseat to the demonic activity they uncover while pursuing her attacker. Can they bring down the demons as well as well as Mystic’s attacker or have they bitten off more than they can handle?

I wasn’t prepared for how much I would grow attached to both Mystic and Caden. I’m always impressed when any author can create such a bond between her characters and the readers. Tena Stetler has an immense talent for that and more. This book, while part of a series, can be read as a standalone.

Everything from the angel mythology to the Native American tribe politics to a spicy romance between an angel and a woman is what makes this a must read. The plot moves at a great pace with so many juicy bits I wish I could share but I don’t reveal spoilers. Each character has his/her own unique voice and like I said above, I instantly connected with both Caden and Mystic. The ending was explosive, and I was completely satisfied.

If you love paranormal romance with suspense and mystical elements, go grab this book right now! You’ll love it just like I did.

With the majestic Rocky Mountains just outside the window, I sit at my computer with vampires, demons, witches, faeries, and a variety of paranormal creatures gathered around telling me their stories! That makes me an author of paranormal romance novels and cozy mysteries with magic spark. The everyday world is mundane but sprinkle a little magic and you have fantastic!

Colorado is home. I share my life with a wonderful husband of many moons, our brilliant Chow Chow, a terribly spoiled companion parrot, and a forty-year-old box turtle. We enjoy hiking, biking, and camping, also love water sports including kayaking and white-water rafting, especially on the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge.

Another passion of mine is reading a good novel. You can find me any winter evening curled up in front of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate, and a big bowl of popcorn. While growing up, if I didn’t like the ending of a book, I’d rewrite it, which led to writing my own books.

Reluctantly, I discovered that in real life it’s tough to rewrite an ending.
