Anokhi means ‘Unique’. Samraadni Anokhi Joshi is a 10-year-old girl living in San Francisco Bay Area with her elder sister and parents. 7. Writing her first book

Anokhi has a keen sense of observation and awareness of people and places around her. Most days you can find her at the dining table narrating in great detail various fun and interesting episodes from her school.

Anokhi loves fast cars and dreams of owning her own Porsche when she is 18! She has a huge collection of stuffed animals and snuggles with them each night!

My Review:

What a fantastic, imaginative collection of short stories written by a young ten-year-old. Ten stories, in fact, all detailing important milestones in a young girl’s life. No swearing or harsh language, this delightful book is perfect for grade school children and their parents.

Let’s start with the writing. For a youthful writer, this is an excellent example of good writing. Each story is well-detailed with the right balance of dialogue, emotion, and tension.

Each story has a good message. With each tale, there is a life lesson learned. But it’s written in kid language so it’s approachable. Themes include bravery, friendship, family, sportsmanship, and more.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Anokhi’s Adventures. It exemplifies what it means to be a kid today. I recommend it to all readers.

My Rating: 5 stars
