My Review:

After years of being feral, Zachariah Degore wants to be treated like a normal vampire. But many still fear he will turn feral, including Laurel Covaci. He fell in love with her at first sight, much to his dismay. She can’t stand the sight of him and rejects him every chance she gets. Ah poor Zach, he’s in love with a woman who is part of the vampire elite, otherwise known as the snobs of Ichor Knell. No matter what he does to win her affections, she stomps on his feelings without giving him another thought. There has to be a reason why she does this and Zach is determined to win her heart. Can he prove to her he’s her mate and will never abandon her?

Bloodbond is book two in the Bloodborn series and what a great addition it is to the paranormal vampire romance genre. The author tackles enemies-to-lovers romance but adds her own spin to it. My heart broke for Zach over and over as he tried to fit into vampire society. His sweetness comes across and the reader feels everything he feels. Laurel, on the other hand, is harder to connect with as she is quite snobby and mean. The more these two interact, the more chemistry there is. I enjoyed the romance between these two, but not the torture Laurel dishes out to poor Zach. The plot moves at a nice easy pace with plenty of angst to please any reader. The world-building Sydney Winward develops over the course of the series so far is brilliant and adds to the reader’s enjoyment. If you’re a fan of intricate descriptive narration, you’ll love Bloodbond. I can’t wait to read the next installment in the series. Highly recommend!
