My Review:

If you know the phrase 'Drama, Drama, Drama', I offer a new one from this book: ‘intrigue, intrigue, intrigue’. There is a lot to take in with this book. The author is telling a tale occurring in at least two time phases at the same time. The segments are clearly defined but still require concentration to keep up with them.

This book cannot be recommended as a stand-alone book. Having not read book 1, I was completely lost for a good part of the book. Only if you have read book 1 will this book completely work for you.

The characters are well defined and are three dimensional. Tom and Alice make this book shine. The focus on the 1954 plane made this reader think of the Avro Aero and that is what drew me into this book. That aspect of the book is well done. The role that Alice has in the development of the plane is impressive and well presented.

Just in Time will appeal to a reader who wants to be on the edge of their seat for hours on end. The book simply draws the reader in and will keep you invested to the very end. Fans of great espionage films and books will love this book. Fans of historical plane development will love this book.

Personally, I was taken aback by the lack of a clear definition of who the enemy was. Never once simply stating who the enemy is was an original approach. I was fully prepared to give this professionally written book five stars but without the clarity required, I just couldn't. A pretty excellent book that is this close to being superb.

My Rating: 4.75 stars
