I trace the contours of his beautiful face. “That’s how I feel about you too. I’m not sure I like it because it makes me feel vulnerable. You could so easily hurt me, but denying how I feel about you isn’t making my feelings disappear.

“And to be honest I don’t want them to. I like how alive I feel around you. You make me feel powerful and desirable, special and protected. As if I can do anything and yet stay secure in the knowledge you will be with me if I need your help. And even if I don’t.”

With a slight snort of laughter, I shake my head. “I think I’m more than falling in love with you. I believe that train left a long time ago, I just didn’t realize it. I am in love with you.”

What’s the first binge-worthy book you read and why was it a must-read?

Firefly Summer by Maeve Binchy.

It grabbed my attention and just wouldn’t release me until I devoured it all. I was probably about twelve-years-old at the time and had borrowed it from my mum. I still have that book.

Born in Dublin, I moved to England, finally we came back home to Ireland. I now live in West Cork.

When I was a child I fell in love with books, amazing stories filled with mystery and intrigue, danger and fantasy this love has progressed into a passion with me. I also like photography and cemeteries the older the better.
